Action Required: All private Distil appliances need to be rebooted by March 11th, 2016.
Why do you need to reboot your Distil appliance?
Distil has rolled out new security enhancements and upgrades to your appliance. In order for these updates to take effect, the device needs to be restarted. Security enhancements requiring reboots are infrequent, but do occur from time to time.
What action do I need to take?
The Distil Operations team has staged the updates across all of your private deployment appliances. We only ask that you reboot your appliances at your earliest convenience so that the updates take effect. Alternatively, you can inform Distil Operations of a one-hour maintenance window when our team can perform a rolling restart of your Distil appliances. If you would like to schedule a time for us to restart your appliance, please submit a support ticket with this request at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
When do I need to take this action?
The appliance restart must happen before March 11th, 2016.
What if I don't take action?
If we notice that private appliances are not restarted by March 11th, 2016, then each appliance will be subject to a random reboot (if you are in a high-availability setup, we will maintain availability during the reboot) to be completed by March 18th, 2016.
