HTTP 413 Error Page: Request Entity Too Large

​This is an error page Distil returns to the visitor when the visitor uploads a file that is larger than the allowed max file size.

  • Tracking numbers necessary for Distil's Support team to investigate the root cause of the error.

What is the most likely cause of this error?

A 413 error is related to the size of a file being uploaded by the client. The maximum default file size for uploads is 4MB.

Things you should try before contacting Distil

Reach out to the user and suggest re-uploading a smaller version of the file (smaller than 4MB).

What do I need to send to Distil Support?

When submitting a support request to Distil to investigate this error, it is important to  provide the trace information from the error page. When copied and pasted, the text will look like this:
