Enhancement to Your Reports in the Distil Portal – August 1st, 2017

This week, we will be updating the Distil Portal so that all reports only show billable requests. Previously, the reports available in the Distil Portal on our new platform included requests for static assets and other non-billable requests. Static assets generally include JavaScript (.js), images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif), stylesheets (.css) and other relatively unchanging file types (.pdf, .axd, etc.).

While the Apollo version of Distil does protect all your content—including static assets—this change should remove any disparity when comparing your site’s traffic and the threats blocked by Distil. This protection of static content can be disabled at any time using the Static Content Whitelist, available as a Distil published access control list in the Universal Access Control List tab of the Distil Portal.

Additionally, if you have enabled the Static Content Whitelist, you may notice a drop in whitelisted traffic, since requests for these static assets (URLs) are no longer included in your Portal reports, such as the Traffic Overview report.

Keep in mind, you can use the Billable Requests report to track your billable requests at any time.
